When you first enter the shop, you will be asked to sit down on the leather couches. You are then served a cup of tea. Afterwards, you are taken to the basement where they have several small private rooms. Before your massage, you soak your feet for several minutes. The massages that I have received here have been exceptional. Staff members are professional and courteous. The only negative thing I would have to say is that it is quite time consuming...tea, foot soak, more tea afterwards. Be sure to make room for an extra 30 minutes plus your treatment.
I give this a score of 3 because they do hire good stylists who are either non-Japanese themselves or Japanese stylists who are comfortable with coloring and styling non-Japanese hair.
However, I found management to be unprofessional and unkind.
I have frequented many salons around the world so I am VERY fussy. I did not find this place to be professional. They are friendly but I certainly wouldn't label them as being professional.
On one occasion, I had my pedicure ruined afterwards because the esthetician placed a blanket over my feet (during my facial which was given after my pedicure).

Professional, personable, with clean facilities and most importantly, competent staff. The best in Tokyo but of course, the most expensive. However, when it comes to health, only the best will do.
