  • Living Motif: Roppongi (Interior Design & Furniture / Roppongi)
  • 2009/07/19
  • Beautiful, modern goods for the home but at a steep price. This store is all about customer service for frequent customers!
  • Bals Tokyo: Roppongi (Interior Design & Furniture / Roppongi)

  • You will find great quality goods here but the staff are uppity and seem to think that they are doing you a favor by serving you and not the other way around.
  • Akai Medical Clinic (Plastic Surgery / Cosmetic Surgery / Omotesando, Aoyama)
  • 2009/04/10
  • Professional, personable, with clean facilities and most importantly, competent staff. The best in Tokyo but of course, the most expensive. However, when it comes to health, only the best will do.
  • Tokyo Medical and Surgical Clinic (Internal Medicine / Azabu-juban)

  • The majority of doctors are congenial and efficient with some exceptions. My husband and I visited a female eye doctor(I won't use names)and she was EXTREMELY RUDE. I was also put on some medication by a gynecologist who neglected to tell me what ALL of the side effects were.
The front desk staff? Terrible. Yes, they are efficient but they are extremely surly.
  • L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon (French / Roppongi)

  • The food was fantastic and the service and smart casual atmosphere was superb. Unfortunately, I am giving it a rating of 3 stars for one reason only:
one of the waiters kept walking past us and snorting his phlegm in a loud manner. I have lived in Tokyo for 10 years so I am aware that unfortunately, some Japanese men do this. However, my friend who I was entertaining who was visiting from Canada did not. We ordered the chef tasting menu for 15,000 yen each or 150.00 dollars USD. We were at a Michilen star restaurant, not McDonald's. I spoke to the waiter serving us about the incident, I hope that he will speak with the "snorter." Completely groce.
